Now in its second century, The Kybalion is restored to hardcover in a commemorative volume that evokes the appearance of the occult landmark's first edition in 1908. For generations, readers have debated the origins and studied the knowledge of this mysterious exploration of Hermetic wisdom, attributed to Three Initiates.

In this concise, engaging guide, the Three Initiates assemble Hermetic doctrine into seven compelling principles, and provide practical methods for applying these ideas for self-development in everyday life.

Here are the teachings of the legendary sage Hermes Trismegistus, reinterpreted for the modern person. Said to be an ancient Egyptian man-god who fathered astrology. alchemy, and other magical arts, the mythical figure of Hermes has fascinated readers of occult literature for centuries. Magicians and gnostics in late antiquity identified Hermes Trismegistus as the author of many esoteric teachings, building the mystery of his lineage.

The new introduction by Richard Smoley, a celebrated scholar of mystical traditions, makes this a historical keepsake.

William Walker Atkinson (1862-1932)William Walker Atkinson (1862-1932), was an attorney, merchant, publisher, and author, as well as an occultist and an American pioneer of the New Thought movement. He is also known to have been the author of the pseudonymous works attributed to Theron Q. Dumont and Yogi Ramacharaka.

Due in part to Atkinson's intense personal secrecy and extensive use of pseudonyms, he is now largely forgotten, despite having written more than 100 books in the last 30 years of his life. His works have remained in print more or less continuously since 1900.
