Dr.Vasant Lad, a native of India, has been a practitioner and professor of Ayurvedic Medicine for more than 50 years. He is presently the director of the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico and teaches the Ayurvedic Studies Programs, Level 1 and 2, as well as advanced training programs in India each year.
Dr. Lad also travels throughout the world, consulting privately and giving seminars on Ayurveda, its history, theory, principles and practical applications. He is the author of 11 books on Ayurveda as well as hundreds of articles and other writings.
Dr. Vasant Lad (1943-Present), B.A.M.S., M.A.Sc., was born in India and served three years as the medical director of the Ayurvedic Hospital in Pune, India. He is a world-renowned expert on the practices and health benefits of Ayurvedic medicine and has lectured at seminars and workshops with Deepak Chopra, M.D., and Andrew Weil, M.D. Founder of the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he currently serves as its director.
